Apple iPad Air on sale for $469.99

You can pick up the 16GB Wi-Fi iPad Air on ebay for $469.95, which is a nice savings compared to Apple's price of $499.99.

Two of this year's most wanted holiday gifts are shaping up to be Apple's latest iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display. Target and Walmart have both credited Apple's new tablets for a strong kickoff to the holiday shopping season. Both retailers offered the iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display at a discount during Black Friday sales, with Target.com completely selling out of the iPad Air at its promotional price.

If you missed out on getting an iPad Air with a discount, you can still get one from ebay for a limited time. The 16GB Wi-Fi iPad Air can be purchased for $469.95, which is a considerable savings over the $499.99 Apple and other retailers are selling the same tablet for.

Apple has given its full sized iPad a major redesign since the iPad 2 was released in March 2011. The company was able to reduce the iPad Air's overall size, while still keeping its iconic 9.7-inch Retina display. The tablet is now 28% lighter and 20% thinner than the fourth-generation iPad. It also boasts the same aluminum unibody case with thin bezels around its display as the iPad mini.

The iPad Air features a 9.7-inch 2,048 x 1,536 Retina display and runs iOS 7. It's powered by a 64-bit A7 processor and M7 motion coprocessor, which allows the iPad Air to be up to twice as fast as its predecessor and run more robust and powerful applications. The tablet ships with 16GB of internal storage, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n for faster data connection, and Bluetooth 4.0 LE (low energy). Its camera capabilities include a 5-megapixel iSight camera that supports recording 1080p HD video and a front-facing FaceTime HD camera for video calls, selfies and group Photo Booth shots. Its built-in battery will provide up to 10 hours of continuous battery life.

You can order the 16GB Wi-Fi iPad Air from ebay for $469.95 with free shipping.
