The Zuck vs Musk Cage Fight Might Not Happen After All

Everyone has been pretty excited about the cage fight between Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Tesla CEO Elon Musk. Although there is sad news for those who want to see two tech billionaires throwing punches because it looks like Zuckerberg may be backing out.

Zuckerberg Isn't Sure Anymore

It has been an eventful few weeks for both Musk and Zuckerberg but above it all, the most anticipated event between them is the cage match. Based on the Meta CEO's statement to his employees, the only fight we'll see is between Threads and X.

Zuckerberg says that he's not sure if it's "going to come together." It's a bit vague, so we can't really tell what's preventing the Meta chief executive from facing the Twitter (X) owner. On the bright side, Mark Zuckerberg didn't actually say the fight is off, as reported by Engadget.

Hopefully, everything comes together. There seems to be no trouble with the venue since UFC president Dana White was more than happy to help the two out to make it happen. In fact, White was even enthusiastic about the fight based on his tweets (Xs?).

The two tech billionaires have also been very public about their training. Just recently, a photo emerged on Instagram of Mark Zuckerberg showing off his physique after training, along with MMA fighters Israel Adesanya and Alex Volkanvski.

Musk has also been preparing himself. At first, the Tesla CEO did not take it seriously, joking that he would simply lie on top of Zuckerberg and do nothing, calling the move "The Walrus." He also said that he already has experience with "street fights" growing up in South Africa.

Based on his recent posts, he is already training to fight as well. Podcaster Lex Fridman shared a photo on Twitter (X), with the caption saying that he did an impromptu training session with Musk for a few hours. He expressed that he was impressed with his "strength, power, and skill."

But a few training sessions and the street fight that he claims he's been in might not be enough to defeat Zuckerberg, especially since the latter has actual experience. The Meta head has won gold and silver medals in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournaments.

Musk Challenged First

There's been a lot of tension between Musk and Zuckerberg ever since Meta announced that it will be launching its Twitter rival, Threads. In response to a user on Twitter (X) saying that Zuckerberg knew jiu-jitsu, Musk said that he would be up for a cage fight.

The Meta CEO responded by posting a screenshot on Instagram stories with the caption "Send Me Location." Musk, not backing down, suggested the Vegas Octagon. It's not going to be a hard thing to arrange since everyone obviously wants the match to happen.

With that said, there's a lot of money in the fight, and venues would be glad to set it up. According to The Wrap, UFC President Dana White even claims that the match would have thrice viewership of the match between Mayweather and McGregor back in 2017.
