Apple Podcast Connect Subscription Analytics

Using the analytics, creators can see within their overview tab the number of listeners that started a free trial, paid subscriptions, and conversion rate from free trial to paid. In addition, the creators can also view the estimated proceeds made from their subscriptions. A breakdown of subscription per location and subscription status will also be available to use.

On the other hand, a trends tab can be used to create filters such as active subscriptions, subscription status, subscription events, and more. According to Apple's global head of podcast Ben Cave, new subscribers are leaning towards annual plans, making it easier for creators to get upfront profit and increased retention.

Apple Podcast Integrates Linkfire

Apple is also partnering with Linkfire, a marketing platform that allows creators to generate an unlimited number of smart links. By syncing a Linkfire account, creators can put the smart links on the landing page of their podcast channel. In this way, the creators will have a way to measure the engagement of their listeners with a promise of utmost respect towards the listeners' privacy.

Linkfire will give measures on anonymized visits and click-through rates. In addition, creators that offers Apple Podcast Subscriptions and are enrolled in Apple Podcast Affiliate Program can add an affiliate token which can measure free trials, subscriptions, proceeds, and commissions from affiliated links.

Linkfire will be available for a free trial this fall. Meanwhile, additional features will be priced starting at $9.99 per month. Features will also vary depending on the plan availed by the creator.
