This year went by so fast that suddenly, we are a little more than four months away from 2024. In the remaining time, there are a lot of games that are yet to be released, most of which gamers have been waiting for, for years. Here are a couple you could expect.
1. Mortal Kombat 1
Mortal Kombat 1 is set to be released this September 19th and is already available for pre-order on the website. It is a take on a "reborn Mortal Kombat universe created by the Fire God Liu Kang. There will be a new fighting system, game modes, and fatalities. If you pre-order now, you can get an exclusive character, Shang Tsung.
2. Cyberpunk: Phantom Liberty
The Cyberpunk 2077 DLC is coming to consoles and PC this September 26th. Unlike the mercenary theme in the base game, V will instead be in a spy-thriller adventure. The game will introduce a new character named Solomon Reed, who will be played by Idris Elba.
Rumors say that the game opens a new ending for the protagonist. The trailer does hint that V receives a proposal that could cure her condition, in exchange for saving the NUS mayor in the district of Dogtown. Players will see a new location in Night City for the DLC.
3. Assassin's Creed Mirage
The latest Assassin's Creed game is particularly exciting for fans of the franchise because it claims to be going back to its roots. The game can already be pre-ordered and will be released on October 5th for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, PC, and Amazon Luna.
The game will focus on the story of Basim, a street thief in Baghdad during its Golden Age. It will have the same elements as the old games such as the prominence of stealth and parkour, and of course, joining the secret Brotherhood of Assassins.
4. Marvel's Spider-Man 2
On October 20th, the game will be released for PS5 exclusively. The game will feature two beloved heroes, Peter Parker and Miles Morales. The two Spider-Men will have new abilities and utilities such as Web Wings.
The player will be able to switch between the two characters to "experience different stories and epic new powers." The main villain in the game would be Venom, who is threatening both their lives and their loved ones.

5. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
The game is set to be released on November 10th and is already available for pre-order now. It serves as a direct sequel to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Captain Price and Task Force 141 will be facing Vladimir Makarov, an ultranationalist war criminal.
It will have several modes including campaign, multiplayer, and zombie. The zombie mode can now be played in an open world where players can team up with other squads as they fight off zombies in the biggest Call of Duty Zombies map yet.
6. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Ubisoft is releasing another game within the year. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be based on the hit movie "Avatar" and will be a first-person RPG game. Based on the trailer, the player will play a Na'vi who will fight against humans, just like in the film.
There will be a lot of running, climbing, flying, and shooting, as the trailer shows. The game will be released this December 7th on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Amazon Luna, and is already available for pre-order.
