T-Mobile is now offering the Sony Xperia Z1S through its online store for $0 up front and 24 subsequent monthly payments of $22.
Sony officially announced the T-Mobile Xperia Z1S during CES and the 20.7-megapixel camera packing smartphone is now available for purchase through T-Mobile's online store. The handset is a follow-up to the Xperia Z and offers some compelling new features that any smartphone fan can appreciate. The Xperia Z1S has been crafted with clean lines, contoured edges, and premium materials such as glass and aluminum, all packed into a very sleek and powerful smartphone.
The T-Mobile Xperia Z1S is IP55 dust-resistant and IP58 waterproof and can be submerged in up to 4.9 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. Users will be able to capture the best images possible using its 20.7-megapixel rear camera both on land and underwater. Its camera uses Sony's award-winning G Lens and intelligent BIONZ for mobile image processing engine. Its large and highly sensitive sensor is equivalent in size to the sensors Sony uses in its Cyber Shot compact cameras, which result in clear low-light images without sacrificing any detail. Sony has also created special Xperia camera apps that users can download, which offer tons of features such as Augmented Reality effects, Social Live to broadcast video to Facebook, Timeshift Burst, Sweep Panorama, and more. Sony is constantly updating and adding new Xperia camera apps that users are be able to download for free and extend the capabilities of the Xperia Z1S' on-board camera.
As a reminder, the T-Mobile Sony Xperia Z1S features5-inch Full HD TRILUMINOS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on board. The smartphone is powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM. The Z1S comes with 32GB of internal storage and a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 64GB microSD cards.
Its wireless connectivity options consist of a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC. In addition to the 20.7-megapixel rear camera, the Z1S also sports a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat and selfies. The Z1S ships with a large 3,000 mAh non-removable battery that will provide up to 15 hours of talk time and 600 hours of standby time.
The T-Mobile Sony Xperia Z1S is available now through the carrier's online store for $0 down and 24 monthly payments of $22, or $528 in full. T-Mobile retail stores will begin selling the Xperia Z1S on Jan. 22.
