Christmas in Japan is about to get more exciting with the upcoming special drone show that is inspired by three popular animes and will last for five days.
Japan's Anime Drone Show for Christmas
The five-day drone show called "STARDANCE" will be held at the Sea Paradise, Yokohama, just a little south of Tokyo. It will feature anime-themed performances from "Evangelion", "Demon Slayer", and "Ultraman," which are all considered to be the top anime shows historically and today in Japan.
The three shows also make it more convenient to fans as each show has its own performance timeslot. On the contrary, fans can also watch all three themes as all of them will be shown each day on a scheduled basis, with only an hour break between each show.
The STARDANCE aims to achieve a show where people will use their imagination as they see what lies beyond the sky. The show will run on December 23 to 24 and December 29 to 31 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The December 24th show will also have a special Christmas-themed show instead of an anime.
How Will STARDANCE Drone Show Work?
According to the event's website, the show will use 1,000 drones that are equipped with LED lights to create such performances. The displays will be shown around 150m high in the night sky.
Recently, drone shows have been a choice for some events as an exchange for fireworks displays. Compared to the latter, drone shows are much more customizable to any theme. Moreover, they are also less damaging to the environment as they emit no waste and sound.
Each STARDANCE show will last for about 15 minutes, enough time to portray some of the shows' beloved characters that are pretty popular and widely known by anyone in Japan.
