Rabbit R1 Unexpected Surge in Sales at CES 2024
During the announcement, the company wrote that they initially estimated to sell 500 devices on the launch day. Rabbit's launch for R1 has proved to be successful as the company beat its estimated sales by over 20 times.
When we started building r1, we said internally that we'd be happy if we sold 500 devices on launch day. In 24 hours, we already beat that by 20x!

Some of the attendees of the convention had the chance to try out the device during the showcase. As promised, the R1 allows users to complete menial tasks that usually would require navigating the smartphone. The device can also be trained for personalized interaction with a certain app.
As for customers who placed their order within the first batch, the device is expected to start shipping in March. Meanwhile, the second batch would have to wait a month or two before they can get their hands on it.
R1 is Rabbit's Solution for Pocket-Sized Assistant
The R1 is known for its unique and vibrant color that attracts the attention of the customers. Despite being the same size as a stack of Post-It notes, the device is equipped with various tools such as a camera, Wi-Fi and 4G connection, and a 2.88-inch touchscreen.
The most notable function of the device is its push-to-talk button which can be found on the side of the device. Users can hands-free navigate the device by simply holding the button when giving R1 commands.
"It learns by demonstration - observing a human using an interface and reliably replicating the process, even if the interface is changed," CEO and founder Jesse Lyu explained.
