MrBeast Might Sign a Deal with Amazon Prime Video for a Competition Series

MrBeast, also known as James Donaldson, still holds the title of the YouTuber with the most subscribers. He creates all sorts of content but one one of his most popular ones is the competition videos, and it looks like we'll be seeing those through Prime Video.

MeBeast's Deal with Amazon

It has not been confirmed yet, but of all the streaming services, MrBeast is reportedly leaning towards Amazon with a $100 million deal. Amazon was said to have the highest bid compared to its competitors, and it could be a huge win for the service.

As you know, MrBeast is one of the most popular individuals among content creators. He is mostly recognized for his extravagant giveaways, as well as the awards he gives to those who win his competitions, and the YouTuber plans to make it an actual series.

Not much is revealed about the show just yet, but with the deal about to be closed, we will likely hear more about it soon. According to Kotaku, the first episode will be posted on Donaldson's YouTube channel, while the rest will be exclusive to Prime Video once the deal is finalized.

Of course, Amazon sees this as another way to encourage users to subscribe to its Prime service, more so now as people are turning away streaming services due to its increasing prices, forcing them to drop a couple of subscriptions to save costs.

If you've been following the videos that MrBeast has been uploading, then you probably know about his competition games, particularly those inspired by the Korean show "Squid Game." Since the show is a Netflix original, the YouTuber will probably use a different theme.

Still, it's likely that the content will revolve around the same premise if the show really is a competition series. It's a smart move since it can be a way to appeal to Donaldson's massive subscriber base, which is now at 233 million and counting.

How MrBeast Established His Fame

The YouTuber might be known for his charitable nature, but he did not start out that way. He first got the attention of people online by completing challenges that people don't normally do such as reading every word in the dictionary.

It was a bit later when the 25-year-old content creator started doing charitable acts, which had a huge impact on growing his subscriber numbers. Since then, the YouTuber became known as someone who gave people not just what they wanted but what they needed.

One of his most famous acts of kindness was paying for 1,000 eye surgeries to give people the chance to see again, as well as building 100 wells in Africa to provide clean water for about 500,000 people living in the areas.

As per Business Insider, MrBeast has also ventured into business, particularly in food. He created a burger brand that was a hit, although that ended up being a disaster as Donaldson sued the restaurant firm behind MrBeast Burger for the "terrible quality" burgers.
