The latest title from the Tekken franchise was just released this January 26th, and it has already been popular among players. Even though critics say that it's a fighting game that checks all the boxes, some players can't help but miss a couple of Tekken 7 characters. Not to worry as some of them might return.
Tekken 8's Rumored Upcoming Characters
Like many hit games, Tekken 8 is no stranger to rumors and leaks, and the latest one suggests that we might be seeing characters that were first introduced in Tekken 7, which will be added to the roster in the first season pass.
One of those characters would be Fahkumram, who was released in the 5th DLC of Tekken 7's Season 3 Pass. He uses Muay Thai as his fighting style and is described as someone from the Thai military who joined the tournament to free his family.
The second one would be Lidia Sobieska. She was first introduced in Tekken 7 as a DLC character in the Season 4 Pass. She uses karate for her fighting style and comes with an impressive backstory of fighting and politics in Poland.
According to Game Rant, the leak comes from a data miner called Shootmans, which presented details that point to the two mentioned characters. Some of the information included fighting styles, as well as the country of origin, making it somewhat of a reliable factor in determining which characters they are.
Other than the two, Craig Marduk might also return in Tekken 8, possibly because he is a highly requested character among the fanbase. The anticipated release for these characters would be during 2024's summer, autumn, and winter, although it's unknown which character will be released first.
There are also other playable champions that are mentioned in a different leak. Anna Williams, the younger sister of Nina Williams, might also make a comeback, along with Armor King, who was added as a Season 2 Pass DLC character in Tekken 7.
Confirmed DLC Character for Tekken 8
There's only one character that will be returning to the latest game in the franchise so far, which is Eddy Gordo. In case you're unfamiliar with him, he is a Brazilian fighter who has mastered the Capoeira fighting style and was first introduced in Tekken 3.
This was confirmed during the Tekken Talk Live, before the Top 8 of the TWT Finals, as reported by ESI. Fans are thrilled with the return of the characters, mostly because he's perhaps one of the hardest opponents to face.
He is perhaps one of the most beginner-friendly playable characters, mostly because his fighting style does not require much practice or experience to be deadly. Spamming the kick buttons is enough to guarantee a win even against veteran players.
As for guest characters, there's still no news as to who those might be. In the previous title, Bandai Namco added Negan from "The Walking Dead" and Noctis from the Final Fantasy franchise. Many have already strongly suggested Tifa Lockhart as a guest character.
