Nokia Lumia 630 leaks in new press image, shows multi-colored body

The yet-to-be-announced Nokia Lumia 630 has leaked yet again, this time giving us a complete look at both the front and back of the device.

Microsoft's acquisition of Nokia's device unit may soon be completed, but the Lumia brand will keep going and is expected to gain new additions shortly. After hearing rumors that a Lumia 930 may launch as the global version of the Verizon-exclusive Nokia Lumia Icon, the latest leak now returns to the rumored Lumia 630 and gives us a better look at the purported device.

The existence of the Nokia Lumia 630 has virtually been confirmed already, as the handset was spotted at the FCC with model numbers RM-976, RM-977 and RM-978, and it has also appeared in multiple press images. The FCC certification is dated Feb. 26, which means that the device may be making an imminent debut.

Previously-leaked press renders and screenshots showed the front of the purported Nokia Lumia 630, and have also revealed that the device would have dual-SIM support. The latest leak now comes from well-known tipster @evleaks, who posted an image that also shows how the smartphone will look from the rear. The Lumia 630 is expected to launch as the first in an upcoming lineup of devices with on-screen buttons.

The tipster offered no additional information regarding the handset's specs or launch date, but the image shows a design quite similar to Nokia's new Android-based X series of smartphones.

The latest leak also shows the purported Nokia Lumia 630 in multiple color options, including black, white, orange, yellow, and green. Based on reports so far, the device would join the likes of the Lumia 620 and Lumia 625, launching as another affordable option for budget-conscious shoppers. Unlike the Lumia 620 and 625 models, however, the Lumia 630 doesn't seem to have a flash for the rear camera, and it doesn't appear to have any front camera. On the other hand, the fact that these features don't appear in this leaked image doesn't mean they're off the table.

Previous leaks and reports have indicated that the Nokia Lumia 630 will sport a 4.5-inch display with a modest resolution of 854 x 480 pixels, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (not yet clear which kind), and 1GB of RAM. Connectivity options are expected to include LTE (TDD/FDD), HSPA+, EVDO, and TD-SCMA network support. The phone will reportedly come in both single- and dual-SIM options and rock Microsoft's upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 mobile operating system.

Considering that the Nokia Lumia 630 has already received FCC certification, an official debut may be just around the corner. None of this is confirmed yet, however, so take everything with a grain of salt. Microsoft is holding its annual BUILD conference next month, and an event is also tipped for April 19, so the smartphone may arrive shortly.
