HTC is doing some more teasing for its new HTC One 2014 flagship smartphone, showing off the smartphone's camera capabilities in a new video.
The HTC One successor is one of the most highly-anticipated smartphones of this year and is expected to boast some impressive specs and features. The handset has leaked extensively under the codename "HTC M8," with various leaked photos and specs making their way online ahead of the big unveiling.
Leaving rumors and speculation aside, HTC is doing its own teasing for its next-generation flagship, which is expected to make its debut later this month, on March 25.
HTC first taunted the HTC One successor's BoomSound audio technology in a first teaser video, then teased the upcoming smartphone's metal body in a second trailer. The third teaser now comes to stir the interest of mobile photographers, focusing on the handset's pixels and light camera capabilities.
The new video from HTC comes along the same lines as the previous two teasers, starting off by describing what the existing HTC One offers. In this case, the company mentions the 2.0 micrometer ultrapixel image sensor, which allows the camera to capture 300 percent more light compared to other high-end flagship smartphones in the market, according to the video. In other words, the HTC One offers excellent camera performance in low-light conditions or, as the less-geeky part of the duo describes it, "it's awesome in the dark."
Through these mentions, HTC wants to highlight that ultrapixels provide a superior-quality photography experience regardless of light conditions. If the 2013 HTC One boasts such a great camera, the New HTC One will be even more impressive, the video suggests. Of course, the actual device and the camera's exact specifications are censored in the clip, leaving more room for mystery to boost excitement.
The teaser further reiterates the launch of "The all new HTC One" for March 25, so we'll soon get to know all of the official specs and features the new flagship will bring to the table. In the meantime, check out the new teaser video below and get ready for more ultrapixel awesomeness.
