Don’t Buy This iPhone 15 Case from Amazon— Item Branded as ‘Frequently Returned'

Thanks to Amazon, we don't have to go to physical shops to purchase a variety of items, including phone accessories. While we cannot have a close look at the products, we can always rely on reviews from previous buyers to tell us if they are worth buying. Interestingly, there's this one product on Amazon has gotten negative attention due to numerous terrible reviews and multiple returns.

Apple iPhone 15 Case Negative Reviews

Priced at $35.10, the product seems like a normal enough case that can provide an iPhone 15 protection from scratches and falls while boasting a minimalistic design. It is said to have a "suede-like" feel and is made from durable microtwill.

At first look, it seems like a simple case that can't go wrong. There's an added perk, too, since it is compatible with MagSafe charging. However, it is currently rated 3.6 stars from 116 ratings, and negative reviews list a lot of downsides to the case.

As per Gizmodo, there have been so many unsatisfied customers that Amazon already labeled the product "frequently returned." For certain addresses, the iPhone 15 FineWoven Case can even be returned for free.

In a one-star review, the customer expressed that the quality of the case was equivalent to a $1 third-party case given that it was an Apple product. "I thought other reviewers were being too harsh and bought the case. Big mistake."

The review also listed the flaws of the case, such as the material feeling like the "cheapest fabrics ever made," immediately getting scratched after putting it in one's pocket, uncomfortable to hold and hard to get your phone out of.

Another complained that the outer coating of the case was peeling after just five weeks of use and that the customer had already submitted a return. A three-star review said the color was different from the photo as it was "darker and has less color."

The item was described as made from 68% post-consumer recycled content and significantly reducing carbon emissions compared with leather, considering that Apple has been using leather for its official cases in the previous models.

It boasts of quickly snapping into place without adding bulkiness to the unit itself. The iPhone 15 FineWoven Case has built-in magnets that align with the iPhone model it was intended for, which allows for faster wireless charging.

To attest to its quality, the product description says that, like every Apple-designed case, it goes through "thousands of hours of testing throughout the design and manufacturing process." About 49% of the ratings have given five stars so far.

One of the more positive reviews said that the case protects the phone while maintaining a slim, lightweight and elegant appearance. The MagSafe is said to be "flawless" as well. The phone snaps into place, preventing it from sliding off, especially during bumpy car rides.

Some were happy about the quality of the product but didn't believe it was worth the price. Others pointed out that the color options for the cases weren't great and that it would be better if there were other options.
