After a challenging year on the Hollywood scene, the Oscars night is back with amazing nominations. Several outstanding films had theatrical releases last year, which proved successful for the productions.
While some films are not available anymore or were never available in theaters, various streaming sites started to strike deals to bring some of them to their platform.
From mind-boggling screenplays to mesmerizing production designs, here are some of the Oscar-nominated films that you can stream before and after the awards night:
'The Holdovers'
"The Holdovers" is a comedy-drama film that follows the story of Paul Hunham, who was punished and must supervise five students on campus during the holiday break. The film premiered at the 50th Telluride Film Festival.
The film is now available to stream on Peacock. "The Holdovers" has been nominated for several categories, including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Original Screenplay and Best Film Editing.
'Killers of the Flower Moon'
One of Apple TV+'s standout offerings is Martin Scorsese's "Killers of the Flower Moon." The film is based on the real events of the 1920 Oklahoma Osage murders. It focuses on how the Osage Nation found oil on their land and how it corrupted the locals.
"Killers of the Flower Moon" has been nominated for Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Costume Design, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Film Editing, Best Original Score and Best Original Song.
'Maestro'
Now available on Netflix, "Maestro" centers on the story of American composer Leonard Bernstein and his wife, Felicia Montealegre. Bradley Cooper starred, directed and co-wrote the film.
The movie is nominated for Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Original Screenplay, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Cinematography and Best Sound.
'Past Lives'
"Past Lives" is nominated for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay. The A24 film is Celine Song's directorial debut, marking an impressive feat that was previously done by Jordan Peele and Greta Gerwig.
The story follows a reunion of childhood friends as they reflect on their lives. "Past Lives" is now available to stream on Paramount+.
'Poor Things'
"Poor Things" centers on Bella Baxter's journey to life and how she tries to navigate her life as a woman in Victorian times. It will soon be available on Hulu by March 7.
The film is nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Costume Design, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, Best Film Editing and Best Original Score.
'Barbie'
Currently available on Max, "Barbie" had a splendid box-office success and received various accolades outside the Oscars. Despite falling short of the nominations, the film is nominated for Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Costume Design, Best Production Design and two Best Original Song.
'Oppenheimer'
Alongside "Barbie," "Oppenheimer" also had a series of recognitions from various award shows. If you missed seeing it on IMAX, you can stream it on Peacock.
