Marvel Entertainment is set to debut its first-ever interactive mixed-reality experience exclusively on the $3,500 Apple Vision Pro.
In a press release on Wednesday, Marvel announced the screening of "What If...? - An Immersive Story," a one-hour special based pn the Disney+ animated series.
The biggest difference, however, is that viewers will now be able to interact with several central characters of the original show and from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Dave Bushore, the show's producer, hinted that the special will be a "narrative-driven" story where viewers will dictate the fate of this alternate universe.
In Bushore's very own words: "You are the central protagonist."
The "What If?" special is expected to make use of the Vision Pro's full capabilities, including hand motion capture, 3D viewing, and augmented reality display.
Marvel has yet to announce the show's release date, although it is expected to come out before the third season of the original series premieres on Disney+.

The upcoming release of "What If...? - An Immersive Story" is expected to strengthen their business relationships
Disney was among the first companies to partner with Apple to launch its streaming service on the VR headset.
The entertainment giant further deepened its collaboration after announcing an exclusive screening of "Avengers: Endgame" and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" on the Vision Pro in 3D.
Exclusive Marvel Expected to Boost Apple Vision Pro Sales
The most notable outcome of the collaboration of two industry giants could be to help further promote the Apple Vision Pro amid sales concerns.
The VR headset's sales were earlier reported to be losing steam against competitor Meta Quest 3 to the point that Apple had to roll out discounts for the headset just months after its first release.
The partnership could also help Apple hobbyists get into Disney's Marvel franchise as many older fans experience "superhero fatigue" from its recent releases.
