Apple is pouring a lot of its efforts into finally bringing AI features into its devices. It is already in talks with OpenAI and Google for a potential deal. Still, that doesn't mean that the tech giant has forgotten about its AR/VR headset, even though there have been some issues down the line.
Apple Vision Pro Release in Other Countries
Even now, the Apple Vision Pro is only being released within the US, but if reports are to be believed, that won't be the case for long. The company is said to already be training employees from Apple Stores overseas on how to present the headset.
The sessions are taking place in the company headquarters in Cupertino, California, wherein hundreds of workers are being given an overview of the device, as well as tips on how to advertise the product to interested customers.
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reports that the training sessions last for up to four days, and the staff in training are also demonstrating what they learned in one-to-one sessions. All those details strongly point to Apple finally selling the Vision Pro outside of the US.
The workers who are being trained come from countries like Germany, France, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and China, as mentioned in Digital Trends, which means that the listed countries will be the first international markets for the headset.
It's not that big of a surprise since Apple already mentioned that it will start selling overseas within the year, and even confirmed that China would be one of its new markets. Entering new markets is the logical next step for Apple at this point.
When the Vision Pro was first released, people flocked to social media to see what it could do, and people praised the capabilities it has. That did not last very long, unfortunately, as the hype around the headset is already dying down quickly and some are even returning the product.
There Are A Couple of Issues to Fix First
Before Apple starts selling the Vision Pro, there are some issues that still need to be addressed. For instance, some owners say that their devices, specifically the right speakers, are overheating, which makes for uncomfortable use.
There are also numerous reports of owners finding the front glass of their Vision Pro cracked, all of which are hairline and positioned in the middle. Users say that they never dropped the device at all and that the damage just appeared suddenly.
As mentioned in Apple Insider, the cracks might be caused by overheating as well. This can be caused by charging the device overnight with the soft cover on, trapping the heat and eventually resulting in a cracked glass.
To make matters worse, it will cost owners $300 to fix the glass, and that is with AppleCare. Without the warranty coverage, the cover glass repair costs more than twice at $800. For a $3,499 headset, it's understandable why this might discourage people from buying the device.
