Pregnancy is hard for most women, especially since it comes with changes in the body that can lead to headaches, backache, cramps, and many more. Despite that, a lot of expectant moms want to enjoy the process as it will lead to a newborn baby, and here are some gadgets that can enhance that experience.
1. Bellyphones
You might've seen people putting headphones on their bellies as they play mellow music for their unborn baby. Research says it encourages early brain development, and it can also be soothing for the baby and, therefore easier for the mom.
While headphones are okay, parents might have the volume on too loud, which of course, is not ideal. There are dedicated products for such practices. Baby bump headphones have a safe volume limit and allow for both the mom and the baby to listen to the same audio.
2. Fetal Doppler
It's still important to get regular checks from an obstetrician to make sure that the baby is healthy throughout the pregnancy, but there are a couple of medical devices that can let you check your little one's well-being for yourself.
A fetal Doppler will allow you to check your baby's heartbeat every now and then. Most models only require batteries to be used, and they are small enough that you can neatly tuck them away or bring them with you during travels.
3. Blood Pressure Monitor
It has been mentioned before that pregnancy comes with certain symptoms, and part of that is elevated blood pressure. For some, it would just be a small increase that doesn't shouldn't be cause for concern, but others can have it worse.
Whether it's a small jump or up there with hypertension, pregnant women should make a habit of checking their vitals, especially their blood pressure. Since there are digital equipment now that anyone can use easily, it would make monitoring blood pressure less of a hassle.

4. Baby Movement Tracker
It varies between babies, but you will feel them kick from time to time, and it is recommended that you keep track of those movements. With this, you'll know how much your baby normally moves and can determine when there are changes.
There are non-invasive trackers you can use other than apps. KickTrakm for instance, is a handheld device that can track a pattern reliably. It can even do so between contractions to determine a more accurate estimate of when labor would begin.
5. Breast Pump
Yes, a breast pump can be helpful even before giving birth. In fact, an expectant mother can start lactating as early as 16 weeks. Although it is not required, some pregnant women may feel heaviness and pumping could help relieve the discomfort.
Electric models are now the preferred version as it is hand-free, meaning that mothers won't have to manually pump to extract the milk. There are even versions that are small enough that mothers can move around and do what they want as the device does its thing.
