Planning a Movie Night? Here Are Tech Items That Can Improve It

Movie nights are a common practice whether it's with families or significant others. It's as simple as putting a movie on and getting comfortable, but there are ways you can enhance the experience with just a few tech items.

Your TV speakers will work just fine, but if you really want that cinematic experience and get the best audio out of the film, you might want to get a sound bar for your TV or computer, preferably one that supports Dolby Atmos audio.

In case you don't know, Dolby Atmos provides you with surround sound technology, which means that the viewing experience will feel more immersive. One of the best brands that offer this is Samsung with its Q990D sound bar, but there are also other brands you can try.

2. Popcorn Machine

Nothing says binge-watching like having enough popcorn to go around. It's the perfect food since they are so easy to make and you won't immediately get full from them. You can also add various flavors depending on your taste.

While there are several ways to make it like microwave popcorn, it would be cheaper and more convenient to have a popcorn maker or machine instead. You won't have to go to the kitchen since all it needs is an outlet, so you can make popcorn as you watch the movie.

3. Mini Fridge

The movie won't even be halfway done before your drink becomes room temperature, and that's not something you would want. You can have a mini fridge right beside your space so you can put your drinks in until you have to take a sip again.

Depending on the size of the unit, you can even store more drinks so you won't have to get up and go to the kitchen for a refill. Since they are small enough, they won't really get in the way. Just make sure that there is an outlet nearby so you can plug it in.

There's a reason why movie theaters are dark. It's just more enjoyable to watch a movie when your entire focus is on the screen. It's not ideal to have total darkness at home wince you can knock a few items down, so you will want to have ambient lighting prepared.

If you already have that kind of lighting installed in your home, then you can go ahead and use that. If not, you can just always buy lamps you can easily set up. Some even have various settings so you can either go for warm lighting or RGB lighting.

5. Electric Fondue Pot

If you want to take it to the next level, you can also set up a fondue pot so you can snack on fruits dipped in chocolate or dip crackers in cheese. For the sake of avoiding a fire hazard, it's best to get an electric fondue pot for your table.

If you're planning for a family movie night, the kids would definitely enjoy being able to dip fruits in chocolate. If you're with a significant other, nothing says romantic like the combination of strawberries and chocolate. There are even pots that have two compartments for two kinds of dips.
