Shows like "Adventure Time" usually have a younger target audience, but that doesn't stop teens and even adults from enjoying the show. It has an expansive universe and complex characters that viewers can resonate with, and here are some of the most interesting ones.
10. Neptr
Neptr is short for Never-Ending-Pie Throwing Robot, which Finn made solely to prank Jake. Despite being haphazardly assembled and accidentally powered, he develops a personality loyal to Finn, who he calls "Creator." He proceeds to gain a liking for capturing princesses after being hit with lightning by Ice King but stays with Finn anyway.
9. Lady Rainicorn
A companion to Princess Bubblegum, Lady Rainicorn has the ability to fly among other powers and is the love interest of Jake. She mirrors the ideals of the Candy Princess and so moral and compassionate as well. Plus, Lady and Jake are the parents of five adorable puppies namely Charlie, Viola, Bronwyn, Jake Jr., and Kim Kil Whan.
8. BMO
BMO is an important part of the group and lives in the tree house with Finn and Jake. He functions as several things including a gaming console, a VCR, and a camera, but most importantly, a loyal friend to the duo. He also demonstrates a few odd practices like wanting to live as a human does from time to time.
7. Flame Princess
Of all the princesses in the show, Flame Princess deserved a mention not only because he was a love interest for the main character, but because she defied and defeated her father to end his cruel reign. Her character arc was also well-written, and she played a huge part in Finn's journey to be a better person and hero.
6. Gunter
At the beginning of the show, Gunter is one of the most adorable creatures in the land of Ooo and interacts with Ice King the most among all the other penguins. He also seemed to be smarter than the rest, but it still came as a surprise when he was revealed to be a primordial cosmic entity called Orgalorg.
5. Princess Bubblegum
Who doesn't love Princess Bubblegum? She is among the first characters introduced in the show and is beloved by all of her kingdom and those who meet her. She is smart, kind, and compassionate, and her relationship arc with Marceline would only make sense once you get to the end, making it unique.
4. Finn the Human
This list wouldn't be complete without one of the main characters. Portrayed as a hero, Finn has a child's heart and a warrior's bravery. Along with his ideals of saving those in need, the land of Ooo is a better place with him in it. Through him and Jake, we get to explore what the "Adventure Time" universe is like.
3. Jake the Dog
Jake the Dog is right up there with Finn, but his abilities make him a tad more interesting than the human. Although he has the spirit of an adventurer and a hero himself, he also portrays the role of big brother to Finn, protecting him when needed and vice versa. He is also the voice of reason in times when Finn does not know what to do.
2. Marceline the Vampire Queen
Yes, Marceline the Vampire Queen is number two given her lineage and backstory. First portrayed as somewhat of a bully, she would do anything to protect her friends. Also, she uses a battle axe as a bass guitar. How cool is that? She had a deeper back story, making it more fleshed-out than the others.
1. Ice King
The Ice King is probably one of the most hated beings in the land of Ooo, but he hasn't always been that way. It was revealed that he was once a professor of archeology and had a fascination with ancient artifacts. He had a beautiful life with a woman he loved, but he was slowly driven mad by the crown he wears now, but not before he found a young Marceline after losing her mother.
