Since the Cybertruck skin was launched last week as part of Fortnite's "Summer Roadtrip" DLC, players are experiencing bugs rendering their Nitro Fists weapons useless when riding the angular EV in-game.

Fortnite's Cybertruck Glitch Impacted In-Game Travel Strats

Several clips of the glitch show players unable to complete their Nitro Fists move as a notification pops up telling players they "cannot do that now."

Other players claimed similar issues occur when equipping the Ship in a Bottle tool, which is supposed to allow players to traverse the map quickly while still attacking nearby enemies.

The issue only appears after riding a Cybertruck-morphed vehicle they made. Riding other players' Cybertruck-themed vehicles would not cause the glitch.

Fortnite developer Epic Games later told Engadget that the bug had already been identified and fixed as of Aug. 1, Thursday.

Fortnite Players Call to Scrutinize Cybertruck Collab Skin

The Nitro Fist glitch is not the only pushback Fortnite's collaboration with Tesla's electrical behemoth is currently facing amid many people's negative outlook towards the EV pick-up.

Even when the collab was first announced, many players had already started hunting down Cybertruck-themed vehicles in the game and calling to boycott the "Summer Roadtrip" bundle.

Much of the negative reception around the skin stemmed from people's growing adversity towards Tesla CEO Elon Musk, either for his recent political opinions or the changes he made after acquiring Twitter in 2022.

Others are taking the chance to poke fun at the automaker which has been struggling to distribute the real-life Cybertrucks on time as delays continue to hit its global operations.
