The purported Xiaomi Mi4 smartphone expected to make its debut soon has just leaked in some new images, showing an attractive design.
Xiaomi is a company that has seen some great success with its recent products, managing to break impressive sales records. Its devices boast high-end specs and features comparable to those of the top-notch flagships of bigwig companies, but come with more affordable price tags.
Some new images posted by Playfuldroid now claim to show the purported Xiaomi Mi4 smartphone, giving us a glimpse into what the device may look like. The front panel appears to have a similar design to the one of its predecessor, the Xiaomi Mi3, but it sports curved edges. The new iteration also appears to have slightly thinner bezels around the display, and will reportedly have a slimmer body overall as well. Xiaomi is expected to ditch capacitive navigations keys in favor of virtual on-screen buttons with the Mi4, joining the new trend of on-screen keys.
The latest leak offers no new information when it comes to the specifications of this purported Xiaomi Mi4, but previous reports have tried to paint a picture of what to expect. Based on rumors so far, the upcoming flagship smartphone from Xiaomi will venture into QHD territory and boast a 5.5-inch QHD display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels at a 538 pixels-per-inch (ppi) density.
Other rumored specs of the Xiaomi Mi4 include a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage capacity, a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, and a 5-megapixel front facing shooter. A 3,200 mAh battery will keep things up and running, while Android 4.4 KitKat will rock the software side, topped by MIUI V5 or the yet-to-be-announced V6. The smartphone is also expected to boast a sleek metal design.
Nothing is confirmed at this point, but the Xiaomi Mi3 successor should nonetheless sport some notable improvements and offer impressive specs.
