The LG G Pad 7.0 LTE is set to arrive in the U.S. on Aug. 8, when it lands on AT&T's network.
AT&T has officially announced that it will soon start selling the LG G Pad 7.0 and it will have an attractive promo offer for those looking to buy an LG smartphone as well. When purchasing an LG G2, LG G3, or LG G Flex, the LG G Pad 7.0 will cost just $0.99.
The LG G Pad 7.0 is the smallest tablet in the company's latest lineup and is LG's answer to Apple's iPad Mini. The slate borrows several popular features from the much-touted LG G3 flagship smartphone and offers good specifications at an affordable price tag.
The 7-inch G Pad has an HD+ IPS LCD display and packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz under the hood. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 1.2-megapixel front shooter, a 4,000 mAh battery, and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, along with some neat preloaded features.
The company's popular Knock Code security feature is also on board, allowing users to unlock the LG G Pad 7.0 through a pattern of locks instead of a PIN code. The tablet also bans on productivity and multi-tasking, boasting the much-touted Dual Window feature that allows users to work on two compatible apps at the same time. The Q Slide function, meanwhile, enables users to easily drag and drop content from one window to another, and more. Other neat features preloaded on the LG G Pad 7.0 include Quickmemo and Q Pair.
As previously mentioned, AT&T will be offering the LG G Pad 7.0 for $0.99 when purchasing an LG G2, LG G3, or LG G Flex, but interested customers can also purchase the tablet separately. The slate will cost $149.99 on a two-year contract or $12.50 per month for 20 months with no down payment and no annual contract.
