Verizon upgrade eligibility on/before 11/15/14 moved to NOW to take advantage of new iPhone launches

With the iPhone season upon us, Verizon Wireless has tweaked its smartphone upgrade schedule to allow for earlier upgrades for some customers.

More specifically, Verizon Wireless subscribers who would be eligible for an upgrade on or before November 15 now have a green light to upgrade immediately, without having to wait out the extra couple of months.

Apple has unveiled its latest smartphone offerings last week and the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus went up for pre-order on Friday, Sept. 12. As always with new Apple device launches, carriers are scrambling to come up with all sorts of attractive offers to lure in more potential buyers to their networks.

This year is no different and the new iPhones have already seen whopping demand, and it makes sense for carriers to announce new phone deals. Verizon is one of the first carriers to spice things up, and the early upgrades will surely be good news for many customers looking to buy a new device.

As previously mentioned, customers eligible for an upgrade on or before Nov. 15 can take advantage of the upgrade right now, Android Police reports, and the new smartphone they choose doesn't necessarily have to be a new iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. The early upgrade offer includes other phones in Verizon's lineup as well, so if you've had your eyes set on one of the latest powerhouses now may be the time to get it.

Verizon offers customers the opportunity to "upgrade to any device currently in the lineup," which means a slew of attractive choices. In addition to the latest iPhones, Verizon's lineup includes top Android devices such as the HTC One M8, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, the Motorola Droid Razr M (which is now called Luge), the HTC One Max, the Samsung Galaxy S5, the Verizon G Pad 8.3, the LG G Vista, and others.

Interested customers who want to find out whether they are eligible for this early upgrade offer can do so by logging into their MyVerizon account to see whether the upgrade date has changed. If it appears the same, you can either give it a day or two for the information to get up to date, or call Verizon and inquire about the latest offers.
