The OPPO N3 will launch soon as the company's new flagship smartphone and it now seems the device will use lithium in its build.
OPPO may not enjoy the fame and popularity of renowned companies such as Apple, Samsung, HTC and other such, but it nonetheless has drawn plenty of attention in recent years with its high-end, innovative devices.
The company's Find 5 smartphone, for instance, was among the first ones to boast a full HD display, the Find 7 bumped up the resolution even further and added more impressive features, the OPPO N1 came rocking a rotating camera that serves as both a front- and a rear-shooter, and the next-generation flagship smartphone is expected to be even more innovative.
OPPO has been dropping hints about its upcoming N3 smartphone to boost anticipation and excitement ahead of the big launch, and the latest teaser is definitely intriguing, to say the least.
Not too long ago, the company revealed that the OPPO N3 will boast a new type of cooling system to keep it from heating up and protect its internals. OPPO took things a bit further on Tuesday, Sept. 23, when it revealed that the N3 will feature an "aerospace grade metal" build.
The company is now at it again, as a new post (see image above) on Wednesday, Sept. 24, suggests that the N3 may in fact be built out of lithium. The description mentions the lightest metal element, and that is Lithium (Li, in the periodic table of elements).
This teaser stirred plenty of buzz, as expected, with some finding it hard to believe that OPPO would actually deliver a smartphone built out of lithium. One Weibo user, for instance, said that OPPO is quite unlikely to use lithium for its N3 smartphone, to which the company replied "don't be so sure of it."
As GforGames points out, if lithium is indeed part of the OPPO N3 construction, it will likely be in the form of some special alloy. It remains unclear whether it will grace only the chassis of the device or the entire case, but we should find out more about this soon enough.
OPPO had already revealed that it will officially take the wraps off its latest N3 smartphone in October, so we'll learn all there is to know straight from the source in a short while.
