Nextbook Windows convertible aims to shake 2-in-1 tablet market with aggressive $179 price tag (VIDEO)

A convertible Windows-powered convertible device called Nextbook is making its way to the market, sporting a dirt-cheap price tag of $179.

The E FUN Nextbook aims to redefine the 2-in-1 Windows tablet category, launching at a very aggressive price tag considering the specifications it packs. The Nextbook is aimed at budget-conscious shoppers who want a good Windows tablet at a low price. The device was made in close collaboration with Intel and Microsoft, and it comes with one year of Office 365 Personal and 1TB of OneDrive storage. The detachable keyboard can turn the tablet into a small laptop. The Nextbook will go on sale through Walmart and Sam's Club.

With a detachable POGO keyboard, the 2-in-1 tablet is perfect for work and play and is an incredible value with the free one year subscription for Office 365 Personal that includes 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage. It will be available at retail for $179 mid-November at Walmart stores nationwide and Walmart.com (preorders beginning Oct. 23) and in December at SamsClub.com."

In terms of specifications, the E FUN Nextbook convertible sports a 10.1-inch IPS display with multi-touch, wide-viewing angles, and a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. The POGO keyboard, as previously mentioned, will seamlessly transform the device from tablet to laptop and vice versa.

Under the hood, the Nextbook packs an Intel Atom quad-core processor clocked at 1.83GHz, paired with 1GB of RAM. Other specs include 32GB of internal storage capacity, microSD card support for additional memory of up to 64GB, a 2-megapixel front camera for video chats, and a 6,000 mAh battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB, mini HDMI, and combo audio jack.
