A new Razer Blade gaming laptop is now official, boasting impressive upgrades on all fronts, including CPU, GPU, and RAM.
According to the company, the new Razer Blade is "the most powerful Blade ever," packing strong specifications and high-end graphics.
Speaking of specifications, the latest Razer Blade gaming laptop rocks a 14-inch Indium Gallium Zinc Oxide (IGZO) touch display with a high QHD+ resolution of 3,200 x 1,800 pixels. Due to new tech, however, the touch display should not train the laptop's battery life. Under the hood, the machine packs a 2.6GHz Intel Core i7 4720HQ processor with Turbo Boost to drive processing power up to 3.6GHz, and NVIDIA GeForce 970M graphics processing unit (GPU) running on Maxwell architecture.
The new laptop also boasts twice as much RAM as last year's model, meaning that it features 16GB of RAM. In terms of internal storage, the latest Razer Blade comes with up to 512GB of solid state storage. Hyper-Threading technology, meanwhile, will allow users to enjoy an "insane gaming performance."
"Measuring just 0.70-inches thin, with a stunning QHD+ display and double the system memory, the Razer Blade packs more power per cubic inch than ever before. Driven by a new quad-core Intel Core i7 processor and the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M graphics, the Razer Blade remains the thinnest, lightest and most powerful 14-inch gaming laptop in the world," Razer boasts.
"The GeForce GTX 970M with 3GB VRAM is powered by the next-generation NVIDIA MaxwellTM architecture, which delivers blazing-fast performance, advanced graphics technologies, and improved power management. Now you can take on your PC games with faster, smoother gameplay at ultra-settings."
"With NVIDIA OptimusTM Technology the Razer Blade automatically transitions between NVIDIA graphics and Intel Integrated Graphics, seamlessly and in the background, to give you great performance and great battery life when you need it."
Interested customers can now order the latest Razer Blade powerhouse either factory-direct, or through the Microsoft Store. Moreover, gamers will also be able to pick up the laptop on Feb. 16 from select Microsoft Stores, Razer revealed.
The QHD+ Razer Blade with touch starts at $2,199, but Razer also offers a full HD, non-touch version starting at $1,999. For more information regarding the device, check out the company's press release at this link.
