Force Touch coming on the next iPhone 6S

According to the Bloomberg publication, a feature for the latest line of Macbooks and Apple Watch will come on the new version of the iPhone. The new smartphones from Apple will include a feature that allows reading the pressure applied by users to the touchscreen. The feature is called Force Touch and it was first introduced earlier this year, with the Apple Watch.

Force Touch allows choosing various control options based on the pressure of tapping on the device's touchscreen. The same feature will also be included on the future line of Apple Macbooks, according to Apple's announcement in June, at the Worldwide Developers Conference.

Apple's Force Touch feature is able to make a difference between softer and harder touches and enables developers of applications to add new functions to their programs. On the Apple Watch for example, Force Touch is used on the notifications display and users are able to clear with a single touch all their notifications.

New Apple iPhone models featuring the new Force Touch technology have entered in the early production stage with Apple suppliers. This new addition to the touch screen technology will enable Apple to stay ahead of their competitors on the smartphone market. It is expected that Apple will launch its next iPhone in September, this year.

The rumors about the next generation of iPhone, the iPhone 6S, predict that the updated mobile device will also come with improved battery life and its case might be slightly thicker than the previous iPhone 6 in order to provide space for the new Force Touch technology.

The iPhone 6S will feature the same screen sizes of 5.5 inch and 4.7 inch. The available color choices will be space gray, silver, gold, and rose gold. A microphone and a rear camera of 12 MP will complete its multimedia recording capabilities, while an A9 processor and 2 GB of RAM will power the fast smartphone.

The overall design might not be much different than the design of Apple's iPhone 6. Some rumors also suggest that the iPhone 6S' display could wrap around the edges in a similar way to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.

It was expected that the iPhone 6S will be more durable due to the use of Liquidmetal, sapphire grass and other new materials. However, the bankruptcy of GT Advanced Technologies, the sapphire glass producer which partnered with Apple, makes less certain the likelihood of using the new material in the new iPhone 6S.
