Apple TV Arrives On September 9, Will Come With Improved Remote Control

Cupertino-based tech giant Apple will be introducing the latest Apple TV this coming Sept 9. The company has been keeping online communities abuzz about its newly improved product and service, which some say will be the new smart TV technology to beat. The features Apple TV is equipped with have further hyped its release.

According to tech website PPPFocus, the soon-to-launch Apple TV will be coming with an improved remote control. The new remote control will be thicker and wider than the existing controller and it will have a motion sensor technology, which many are comparing to Nintendo's Wii console.

Another feature that adds to the excitement over the upcoming release of the Apple TV is that the revamped remote control comes with Siri, Apple's voice assistant. The remote has a button which activates the virtual concierge. Siri will then carry out commands users make for easier use of the TV remote.

Apple TV has long been rumoured to be released with a corresponding app that will allow users to stream live content to TV screens. The app has not been confirmed as of yet. The price of the latest Apple TV has not yet been disclosed by the company, but reports say that Apple will be charging $40 per month for the service subscription.

The small TV streaming device and the remote will take the stage at the Apple event in San Francisco next Wednesday. Apple has earlier been reported to introduce its new smartphones on the same event. The company will set up a live stream of the launch, which can be accessed with Safari, iOS and Microsoft Edge.

Including Microsoft Edge into the list of accessible platforms for the even's live stream is a first for the company, which has made the webcast exclusive to platforms within Apple. Microsoft Edge is Windows 10's web browser. The latest Windows operating system has been launched on July 29.
