LG Introduces Its Double-sided OLED TV

When it comes to TV viewing and usage, who gets to watch what at what time is always an issue. But with LG's newly introduced product, those days may as well come to an end. And all for the good. On Monday, Sept 7, the tech company has unveiled its newest 4K OLED TV, which combines two of television's popular technologies these days-4K and OLED, for an unparalleled viewing experience.

The technology has already come to LG's earlier television models. What sets the one introduced in the IFA apart is that it's a TV with two OLED screens back to back. As if the impressive OLED screen doubled for people to watch different TV shows at the same time is not enough, the size of the new TV indicates that LG is set to offer the best viewing experience it can develop. Geek said on its report that the size is a whopping 111 inches. And if that's too big, LG also has a smaller version.

The company has also showed off a 55-inch variant of the same device, with a thickness that's only 5.3 mm, which is even thinner than most smartphones today. The new 4K OLED TV is not being massed produced as of yet and apparent purposes of the new device can be seen in business settings, mostly for future use in business presentations and meetings.

What may immediately be seen in consumer markets is the equally appealing Wallpaper OLED TV. The 55-inch paper thin TV is only 1mm thin, and it lives up to its Wallpaper name. Attached to its back are magnets which allow them to be moved and peeled off, like a real wallpaper. With the quality technology the device is equipped, the Wallpaper OLED TV will also hit off with consumers should it be launched into the market soon.

The IFA event is held in Berlin this year. The annual event is an avenue for big names in the tech industry to show their upcoming developments. The event lasts from Sept 4-9.
