Let it be known among gaming enthusiasts that Oct. 27 is not just any ordinary and random Tuesday in October as the new Xbox One Elite controller will be out on the rampage. While Microsoft has yet to formally confirm if the said release date is true or not, it is planned to take off on a selection of major stores, including Microsoft's own store. Previously, the controller was presumed to be priced at $150.
Consequently, this is also the target date of Halo 5: Guardians, one of Microsoft's largest titles of the year and one with origins in the competitive gaming galaxy, which arrives on store shelves at the same time. It would appear that the two launching on the same day is not a consequence.
The Xbox One Elite controller, which also works on PC, is more than twice as luxurious as the standard unit. For the premium value, you get a first-of-its-kind Xbox controller that features exchangeable rear paddles and hair trigger locks. It also lets you alter the trigger least possible as going values, thumbstick sensitivity and button course work. In short, you can allocate any of the controller's 14 diverse inputs to the ABXY buttons, paddles, D-pad, triggers, and thumbstick clacks.
The package comes with an Elite Xbox wireless controller, a carrying case, 4 sets of paddles, 6 sets of thumbsticks, 2 sets of D-pads, a USB cable, AA batteries, a quick setup guide and a product manual.
As an additional feature, you can save as many custom controller profiles in the controller system as you prefer as well as load two controller profiles at once in one controller. You can also switch profiles as often as you may in-between games using the new Profile Switch system.
In addition to the Elite Controller standalone, the fancy gamepad is also launching an Xbox One bundle with one terabyte solid state hybrid drive on Nov. 3 for a low price of $500.
