Pebble spun huge waves on the internet when it launched its Kickstarter campaign. The project, an e-ink smartwatch, has easily made its way to people looking for convenience, style and usability. That was the first Pebble watch. Three years in, the smartwatch spectrum was then swarmed with the same offerings from different companies -- a strong square-shaped smartwatch had then set the trend.
Pebble has then since established a strong lineup of convenient, straightforward devices that have simplified its users' lives. But the company did not stop there, however. Pebble's approach has always remained constant: 'start small. Improve constantly. Be faithful to your community. Get better with time.' wrote Eric of Team Pebble on the company's blog.
Pebble has recently announced that they are setting a new standard for what smartwatches can be and who they can be for -- a full circle smartwatch, the Pebble Time Round. The new Pebble Time Round features a thinner and lighter design as compared to the competition. Measuring 7.5mm and weighing about 28 grams, it makes the milestone of thinnest and lightest in the smartwatch spectrum.
The design of the Pebble Time Round brings about timelessness while still remaining a Pebble device through and through. It comes with an always on e-paper display that blends with the body of the timepiece. Users can still leave their smartphones from their bags and control them through the Pebble Time Smartwatch.
The band sizes are available in 20mm and 14mm while color options are black, silver or a special-edition rose gold for the latter size. Pebble is also offering a selection of quick-change band genuine leathers, plus watch faces available from the Pebble app store. A metal band option will also come further along.
Those who are interested can start reserving the Pebble Time Round. The suggested retail price starts at $249 and will start shipping within the U.S. and Canada this November. Availability in the U.K. will start in early 2016.
