Smartphone manufacturers such as HTC and Samsung have recently jumped into the foray of Virtual Reality tech. The former's partnership with Valve, bringing the Vive, and the latter's Gear VR, powered by Oculus are two of the prime examples. Another smartphone manufacturer joins in the competition and releases a pair of devices that come with Google Cardboard to bring forth a cheap VR experience.
Yezz may come off as a new name in the world of mobility, but the company has recently been tapped by Google itself "to adopt Project Ara." The latest update to the supposed partnership comes in the form of two smartphones that are bundled with the Google Cardboard V2.0 viewer, the Andy 5VR and Andy 5.5VR.
Aside from the Google Cardboard VR 2.0 that both devices wil come in, the Andy 5VR and the Andy 5.5VR will be equipped with a 1.3G Hz quad-core processor and 8 GB of internal storage. Storage variants go as much as 64 GB, and prices will relatively go up accordingly. Both come with the basic connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 3G network. For the operating system, the duo will be powered with Android 5.1 Lollipop.
Both devices are basically the same internally, save for the display and resolution. The Andy 5VR is the cheaper offering - as its name suggests, it features a 5-inch IPS display, and it comes with a resolution of 854 x 480. It comes with an 8 MP primary shooter with flash and a 2 MP selfie camera to add. The battery comes with a 2000 mAh rating.
The Andy 5.5VR is the more expensive offering. It features a bigger screen at 5.5 inches and 720 p resolution. Other improvements include 4G LTE connectivity and a bigger 3000 mAh battery rating. The camera also receives an upgrade at 13 MP primary and 5 MP secondary, both with LED flash setups.
