Apple products are as cool as they come. Their names are just about enough to actually get people to grab them the moment they land on stores. But it seems that releasing new iPhone versions when users have barely gotten their hands on an earlier model, which has been the case with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S, does not really up Apple's cool factor. What is more, the two models are almost identical and no significant updates have been made.
iPhone 6S is still enjoying really good sales, but Apple is not about to rest on its laurels with just that. The company has recently employed movie and sports stars to appear on its products' ads. Earlier, John Travolta has made an appearance in an Apple Music ad. Now, Apple has been reported to have signed up actor Jamie Fox and NBA star Stephen Curry for its latest iPhone 6S ads.
According to a CNet report, Curry and Foxx each stars in his own Apple ad, showcasing an iPhone 6S feature. Stephen Curry showcases the iPhone 6S camera by being his hard court star player self. Curry's ad shows the basketball star shooting some baskets and doing jump shots, while photos of him are being taken with the device.
Foxx, on the other hand, demonstrates an interaction with Apple voice assistant Siri. Foxx is shown getting dressed up, looking in the mirror and then asking Siri how he looks. The voice assistant then answers that judging from Foxx's speaking voice, he seems to be fairly attractive. Foxx has earlier appeared in an ad showing the 3-D Touch display.
Apple has recently released over three dozen ads for its newest products. While the company, being the top-selling name in the tech industry, is a celebrity in itself, adding star power certainly would not hurt Apple Inc. And of course, it certainly would not hurt the iPhone 6S.
