While Taiwan-based manufacturer HTC isn't doing so hot in the market now the company is still driven to churn out more premium, supercharged smartphones for the high-end market. After just having announced the latest One A9, HTC is at it again as a new leak points out to another addition to the family of the company's One line up.
The One X9 will reportedly come with high-end specifications as well as a lofty price tag. The news stems from Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo. According to the rumours that have recently surfaced, the newest handset from HTC will carry either Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 820 chipset or MediaTek's deca-core X20 SoC. As for the display, the One X9 will feature a QHD resolution, although the screen size remains unknown.
As far as its other essentials, the HTC One X9 may feature 4GB of RAM. Internal storage would come in 64GB and 128GB variants, and while there's no mention of a microSD card, the company has not left out the equation for its storage expansion.
For its imagery prowess, it might come with a whopping 23MP primary camera and a 4MP ultrapixel camera. HTC may also be teasing a new design language that is unlike earlier One models. Although, the company's BoomSound and a new metal build body would come in under tow.The battery rating is at 3,500mAh, and following earlier models once more, it most likely will be non-removable as well.
According to other sources, the One X9 will have 3GB of RAM as well as a 32GB internal storage variant to target the budget conscious. As for the pricing, it may arrive with a US$472 price tag.
However, seeing that there is still no official announcement made by HTC, the One X9 is still in the rumour mill. And as with any rumour, it is always best to take such content with a grain of salt as a precaution.
