While Microsoft is still not revealing details about its rumored upcoming super-powerful Xbox One VR, one big-name European developer is allegedly already making a game for it.
PCMag reports that Microsoft is working on a new Xbox One console powerful enough to handle some of today's best virtual reality headsets. According to sources, the Xbox One VR is likely to be unveiled at E3 2016 event and will be released later in 2017.
A new report from Ars Technica suggests that one major, unnamed European developer has already started designing a virtual reality title for the new console. The major European studio is not named in the report, but it seems that the virtual reality game would be a new title in an already established franchise.
Speculations name Ubisoft and the Assassin's Creed series as a possible pair of game developer and game franchise involved. Other possible names that come to mind are Electronic Arts subsidiary Dice and its Mirror's Edge franchise, Star Wars Battlefront or Battlefield franchise.
The game title developed for Xbox One VR console is allegedly also going to be released on the PlayStation 4 and PC platforms. It is expected that the upcoming "PlayStation Neo" will provide gamers with the best experience when playing it on the PlayStation VR.
Oculus founder Palmer Luckey previously told TechRader back in 2013 that currently available gaming consoles are too limited for the Oculus Rift. Polygon reported that anonymous sources have suggested that the new virtual reality Xbox One console will be four times as powerful as today's Xbox One and compatible with Oculus Rift headsets.
Tech Times reports that the upcoming game title for Xbox One VR will be unveiled at this year's edition of E3 event. Fans still have to wait until next month to see if the rumor proves to be true.
