Apple previously addressed its customer's battery concerns by replacing a number of issues that proved to be defective. Now, the company is answering one more issue that the public has had a long-standing issue with, namely the memory or the storage of the iPhones on the market. As Apple does not have the feature to increase storage through external means, the company is increasing the internal memory of the iPhone to up to 256GB.
The company is giving different options to its clients this time around and a lot demands on which iPhone consumers will purchase. According to MIC Gadget, the iPhone 7 will be available with 16BG, 64GB and 128GB of storage.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 7 Plus will be available with 32GB, 128GB and 256GB of storage. This is a very substantial raise, which will definitely silence the classic argument against Apple.
CNet adds that the memory will increase as well, reportedly up to 3GB. The newest models currently on the market, the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus both only have 2GB of memory, while the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus have just 1GB of memory.
The increase in memory should make the units faster when phone owners are using multiple apps at one given time. It will also allow the phone to handle operating system features much better as well as house more sophisticated apps.
Other reports claim that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus may abandon the 3.5-inch headphone jack and shift to a 3-year update cycle instead of the current 2-year one.
There is a lot of pressure on Apple to enhance and distinguish the incoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus from the company's current roster. According to the same publication, Apple saw a decrease in their shipments from the first quarter of 2016 - a first in its history. It seems that much more customers are shifting to Android models and Apple is definitely keeping an eye on things.
