The New 2016 Ford Mustang, A Genuine Muscle Car That Provides Exhilarating Track-Ready Performance

Still offering its newfound finesse and track-capable performance, the 2016 Ford Mustang still outshines other muscle car in its class. Under its nameplate are comprehensive list of tech and safety features, sophisticated suspension and drivetrains known for superb power and efficiency.

In its second year, the 2016 Ford Mustang notable for its hood-vent turn signals is presented with new wheels and striping. Also available are Black Accent Package, Pony Package and California Special Package. The optional painted-black roof is also made available for the V-8-powered Mustang GT and EcoBoost Mustang.

According to The Car Connection, the recent redesign of the new Mustang includes better details from interior to its exterior. The new Mustang presents more technical and advanced features allowing it to transcend or compete in the levels of notable luxury coupes.

The 2016 Ford Mustang has a solid interior lay out and more youthful and richer-looking than other high-end luxury coupe. It has a large instrument panel with clear vehicle information display, improved ergonomics, roomier cabin, user-friendly controls, knobs and switches.

Strong Powertrain Lineup

Returning for the 2016 Ford Mustang is the turbocharged inline-4, a 2.3L engine displacement with twin-scroll-turbo and direct-injection technology. This engine performs with 310 horsepower and produce 320 lb.-ft. torque.

The turbocharged 4-cylinder Mustang on 6-speed manual or automatic with paddle shift becomes more powerful once introduced to the newly available driving modes like the 'Sport' mode setting.

The available 3.7L V-6 is a carryover engine that provides the base Ford Mustang with 300 horsepower. Meanwhile, the high-revving 5.2L V-8 with Torsen limited-slip differential checks in with 435 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. torque.

Notable Standard Features

The 2016 Ford Mustang is offered as soft-top convertible or coupe version. It comes in five trims: EcoBoost/EcoBoost Premium/V6/GT/GT Premium. Among the notable standard features for the Mustang as reported by Edmunds include cruise control, LED taillights, 17-inch wheels, Bluetooth interface, keyless entry system, air conditioning, Sync voice control interface and 6-speaker audio.

Higher trims upgrade to 18-inch wheels or 19-inch wheels and add rear spoiler, 6-way power driver's chair, LED foglights, Recaro sports seat, upgraded brakes, sport-tuned stability and steering settings, nine-speaker audio unit, Sync 3 infotainment unit and leather upholstery.
