Google Nexus Rumor Update: 5 Devices With Multiple Partners To Be Launched Nov 5

Google is apparently ready to expand its Nexus program. A week earlier, reports from the Wall Street Journal revealed that the company was planning to launch as many as five Nexus devices with multiple partners this fall.

The latest reports have emerged in the media suggest that Google will launch these five devices as early as November 5. These launches would take place to celebrate the Google Android's 5-year anniversary.

The reports have been spread by TalkAndroid, which got the information from very reliable source and have also mentioned that earlier rumors predicted that the launch would supposedly take place on Thanksgiving Day (Nov 22). However, now the date has been pre-poned to earlier week of November.

Further, no other details have been revealed by the current reports. Meanwhile, earlier reports were rife that the upcoming Google Nexus devices would be triggered with the future version of Android -- Android OS 5.0 Jelly Bean.

Additionally, lots of industry observers are already making various assumptions on Google's strategy behind the launch of the next Nexus devices.

In the past few months, various manufacturers have been mentioned of who would successfully succeed HTC and Samsung in the making of the forthcoming releases, potentially the competitor are LG, Sony or Motorola.

Last week, there were speculations that Google would open the Nexus launch to several manufacturers and possibly sell these devices through the Play Store. However, in a recent development, Google has acquired the cellphone maker Motorola Mobility for $12.5 billion in an all-cash deal for $40 per share. Hence, there is currently a lot of confusion prevailing in the tech world regarding the manufacturers who would bring the next Nexus devices.

Lately, the WSJ reported that Google was attempting to take control of its OS away from the carriers as well, noting that the company hopes to exert more influence over the apps and software on Android phones to reduce carrier interference.

Additionally, Google is reportedly hoping to jump-start Android tablet sales with these new launch plans, though details on that front were minimal. Meanwhile, Google has given no confirmation on any of the details. Hence, this new strategy is just a rumor at this point, but it is no secret that Android has some big fan followers. Any plan that would help Google get more pure Android phones on the market sounds like a good one.
