'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' Double Weapon XP Starts, New Patch Arrives To PS4, Xbox One

It seems "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" developer Treyarch is looking to give Father's Day a huge bang. The studio is set to kickstart the game's Double Weapon XP this weekend. It will end on June 20, so players will have enough time to acquire double experience points for their weapons. As for owners of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, they should be happy knowing that a new patch for the game has arrived.

According to Design & Trend, the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" Double Weapon XP event will start from June 16 and ends on June 20. This is in fact very timely with the highly celebrated "Day of the Dads."

During the said event, "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" players will have the chance to double the experience points for their weapons. But of course, it will only run for a couple of days. Hence it is better for them to take advantage of the Double Weapon XP event.

Players, however, should keep in mind that the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" event is specifically for the weapons. It will not have any effect on the character's experience and whatnot.

Talking about weapons, a recent "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" update has added a new content to the so-called Black Market. The content arrived with sets of guns and melee weapons. The guns are namely the Rift E9 pistol and the Banshii shotgun. The new melee weapons, on the other hand, are named the Nightbreaker and the Buzz Cut.

But apart from these weaponries, a new set of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" camos and specialist themes have also been introduced.

Meanwhile, as detailed in the Activision Support Page, a new "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" patch has arrived on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms. The new patch features the highly anticipated 10th Specialist Blackjack.

Aside from the playable character, the latest "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" patch also featured the Contract system. Through this, players can set either daily or weekly contracts to acquire in-game rewards.
