Samsung Galaxy S3 Is The 'Ferrari of Android': Report

The global version of Samsung's fabled Galaxy S3 smartphone has earned a new name for its excellent performance and gorgeous display by the CNET UK reviewer.

CNET reviewer Natasha Lomas has named the Galaxy S3 the "Ferrari of Android phones" and has also picked the latest smartphone for Editors' Choice.

The global version of the phone sports a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD screen, is coming with Android's latest Ice Cream Sandwich, a quad-core Exynos application processor (region specific) and packs in 16/32/64GB internal memory, LTE connection (region specific), Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, 8MP camera with zero-lag shutter speed and a monstrous 2100mah removable battery. The most attractive features of the phone, however, are its latest "S software features," which are based on the concept of "human interaction." Moreover, innovative features such as S Voice, Smart Stay, S Beam, Pop Up play, Direct Call, Smart Alert, Social Tag, AllShare Media and more, have also been introduced.

The phone is slated for a May 29 UK release. But Galaxy S3 has already generated a groundbreaking 9 million pre-orders from more than 100 global carriers and record number of end-user preorders in UK just before its launch.

Reportedly, the US version of the phone will feature a dual-core processor and will support LTE. While the international version of the Galaxy S3 is available in US Amazon, the local version of the phone is still not available.
