Macbook Pro 2016 Is Expected To Boost Plunging Apple Sales

Since Apple is experiencing a decline in their laptop sales, the Cupertino-based company hopes that the upcoming flagship MacBook Pro 2016 could improve the prospects.

According to BGR, recent data from IDC and Gartner show that Mac sales in June were experiencing 8.3 percent decline. In the same period, MacBook Pro competitors have actually reported an increase in sales.

The website wccftech.com reports that this year Apple was able to sell only 4.4 million notebooks. The plunging sales pushed the Cupertino-based high-tech giant down on the fifth-largest PC vendor position in the world. By the number of shipments worldwide, with a market share of 7.1 percent through late June, Apple is now positioned behind Asus.

Market experts speculate that the decline of Apple shipments could have as cause the fact that potential buyers are waiting for the highly anticipated MacBook Pro 2016 lineup. The laptop is rumored come with many new features that will make it the best on the market at the moment of its launch.

According to Parent Herald, since some previous rumors are claiming that the new MacBook Pro 2016 might officially replace the MacBook Air, the upcoming device could become the only Apple flagship model. This would further increase the importance of a successful MacBook Pro 2016 launch.

Tech Times reports that the new MacBook Pro will come in 13 and 15 inches models and feature USB-C / Thunderbolt, Touch ID fingerprint scanning, NFC chip technology, wireless charging, OLED touch bar and Intel's latest Skylake processors.

According to tech experts, the new Intel Skylake processors are expected to increase CPU speeds by up to 20 percent. Skylake laptops could add up to 30 percent to the battery life. The integrated graphics chips are will increase performance by 16 to 41 percent.

Among other features expected to be present on the new Apple MacBook Pro 2016 are Touch ID unlocking and Siri. The new flagship Apple laptop will run on MacOS Sierra. Tech analysts speculate that Apple will release the MacBook Pro 2016 sometime between August and October 2016.
