2016 Macbook Pro Latest News & Updates: Upcoming Apple Laptop To Run Kaby Lake Processor

The 2016 MacBook Pro can pack a huge power upgrade as it is now rumored to have the latest Intel Kaby Lake processor. Macbook fans were disappointed when Apple decided not to give a hint on the 2016 Macbook Pro release date following the announcement of its other flagship laptops and notebooks. With such a delay, it is not expected that the 2016 Macbook Pro will be released in Autumn of this year.

According to TCC, Intel's Kaby Lake processors have started shipping, out which only means that the 2016 MacBook Pro will hit the market sooner than expected. The Kaby Lake is the third in Intel's line of 14-nanometer processors, after the Broadwell and Skylake chips.

The 2016 MacBook Pro's features and specifications will mostly cater to the entertainment value of the units. The rumored removal of the iPhone 7's headphone jack could also apply to the Macbook Pro, as Apple seems to be moving towards a unified feature set for is product line.

A redesign of the 2016 Macbook Pro this year is also being speculated by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo according to Macworld. A thinner and lighter body of the unit could be a possible upgrade for the upcoming version. Interestingly, the analyst predicts that there will be an OLED display touch bar for the arriving units as an upgrade to its lineup. The new processor and graphics card will also be an upgraded feature as well. This has been speculated since the release of the macOS Sierra and the beta codes.

The 2016 Macbook Pro screen specifications will most likely have the same 2304x1440 resolution as the current 12-inch MacBook. While it is not expected to have 4K resolution, it is assumed that the upcoming version will at least have a 400 to 500 ppi.
