HTC EVO 4G LTE, after a series of delays, is arriving on Sprint on June 2. The carrier has announced the date and the price, $199.99.
The latest HTC smartphone, which was scheduled to hit stores on May 18, got involved in patent battle with Apple and was stalled at the border by U.S. Customs.
According to the International Trade Commission, HTC smartphones infringed on Apple-held patents and although HTC developed a workaround, verification by Customs took time to ensure that the technology had been removed.
"We are excited to see our customers enjoying this latest generation of the award-winning EVO family," Sprint announced.
The EVO 4G LTE comes with a 4.7-inch Super IPS LCD2 capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels, Corning Gorilla glass protection and HTC Sense 4.0 UI, 1.5GHz Krait dual-core CPU and Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon chipset, an Adreno 225 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich platform, 16GB storage and 1GB RAM.
The device will be available at Sprint stores and at the carrier's website.
