The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is expected to be shown on August. Recently released video teasers have provided a glimpse of the upcoming Android smartphone.
A YouTube video reportedly showed a working prototype of the Galaxy Note 7. The video speaker is Chinese but he did provide some interesting details about the upcoming Samsung smartphone. The Galaxy Note 7 prototype's service provider appears to be South Korean SK Telecom.
The prototype's chipset is most likely the Exynos 8890 which has also a RAM capacity of 4GB, according to GSMArena. The presenter showed the various specs of the device. The most remarkable feature is the use of what appears to be an Iris scanner. Several of its features are similar to the previous Samsung Note models.
Interested Galaxy Note 7 buyers should take note the video leak also shows a prototype model. The final product will possibly look different and that will also include the specs. The prototype video leak showed the smartphone to viewers. The Samsung Mobile Korea video teaser ad was more cryptic and lasted exactly half a minute.
But the first few seconds of the Samsung video seem to validate the inclusion of an Iris scanner in the upcoming Galaxy Note 7. The S Pen stylus will reportedly get an upgrade, according to Talk Android. It can be used to magnify things and translate different languages. Some features are similar to the previous Note smartphones.
The upcoming Galaxy Note 7 will also entitle owners with at least 5 GB free storage courtesy of Samsung Cloud. There is just one detail that will upset current Gear VR owners. Apparently, the Note 7 is not backwards compatible. Samsung has decided to sell its own VR gears that are backward compatible with earlier Note models.
The Galaxy Note 7 will make its physical appearance on August 2 in the Big Apple, New York.
