Mike Pence, Donald Trump's running mate in the presidential candidacy as a Republican, recently said in an interview that he doesn't like "name-calling" people. He believes that this is not necessary in the political world.
In a recent interview on Hugh Hewitt's radio show Friday morning, Mike Pence, a Republican vice-presidential nominee said that name-calling anyone has no place in the public life, as reported by Washington Post. Clearly, it has no place in the political world as well.
What was ironic is that he could come up with a statement like that, since he is the running mate of a Presidential nominee who is so fond of name-calling people that he doesn't like. This statement was, however, led by President Obama when he called Donald Trump a "homegrown demagogue."
Some reports claim that maybe Pence was being sarcastic in his statement, since Trump is very well-known for name-calling anyone. Trump has never shown any respect to any of the politicians around him, that includes the ones who are on his side. He doesn't choose his enemies, to say the least; he targets anyone that gets in his way.
Others also find how their contradictory stand on name-calling could make them clash. Trump seems to find relief in verbally abusing people that he believes disagrees with him, according to The Huffington Post. There are more mostly hundreds of people that Trump has insulted over time. This shows that in the stand of name-calling alone, he already doesn't agree with his running mate, Mike Pence.
This could lead to conflict between the two since Trump is not known for backing down during disagreements and the like. Mike Pence doesn't believe in such a system, despite standing idly by the side of a man who takes pride in being able to insult and ridicule people, especially the ones against him.
