The 2016 Rio Olympics showcased the superior skills of the U.S. Men's basketball team. Kevin Durant and De Marcus Cousins lead their countrymen in China's third defeat.
The score ended at 119 to 62 in favor of the Americans. Durant scored the most with 25 points and at least six assists, according to NBA.com. The Chinese and American Olympic basketball teams fought in two previous exhibition games. The Americans won the first two, leading by an average score of around 50 points per game.
Olympic observers noticed the Americans' tight defense, which prevented the Chinese from scoring early on in the game. In the first half of the game, the Chinese were only able to shoot the ball four times despite possessing the ball on 22 occasions.
The American starting lineup consisted of Durant, Cousins, Anthony, Klay Thompson and Kyre Irving. But during the first and second quarters of the game, all the players were given the chance to play.
