Phil Pressey is reportedly being offered a spot the Golden State Warriors roster. He was invited to join the team for this year's training sessions.
The State Warrior invitation, however, is not a guaranteed deal for Pressey. His inclusion in the team training camp simply means that the management is interested in recruiting him. But the Warriors are not willing to sign him up just now.
The training session will most likely be a test for Pressey on whether he can join State Warriors or not, according to ESPN. Current NBA rules limit each team to only 15 players. The Warriors, on the other hand, already has 16 players on the team roster. Only 14 spots are assured to last for the entire season. This means that Pressey will have to compete and show his mettle if he wants to be included on this season's roster.
Pressey's possible inclusion to the Golden State Warriors was tweeted by David Pick, a known sports reporter. The 25-year-old NBA veteran is being groomed as one of the team's point guard.
If Pressey gets the last spot, he will be joining Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Shaun Livingston and Klay Thompson. He has several years of NBA experience and played for several teams including the Detroit Pistons in the Orlando Summer meet, He played with the Philadelphia 76ers and Phoenix Suns during the previous season for at least 23 games.
He started out with and stayed with the Boston Celtics for two years before being traded to another team. His current statistics include a shooting score of barely three points for every game. The Golden State Warriors will possibly soon have Pressey on board depending on his success in the training camp. Pressey could only hope.
