Uncharted 4 game developer Naughty Dog has recently called on players to report any cases of cheating. It seems some players have resorted to cheating to defeat their opponents in the multiplayer game.
The developer made a list of suspected cheating methods and exploits which include:
- Manipulating Uncharted 4's software code
- Changing the hardware and internet connection settings
- Editing the game's environmental and system controls
- Other actions that could put other players at a lopsided disadvantage
Steps needed to report cheatin
- Players would need to identify the cheaters and the incident. The cheating incident could be screen captured but a recorded video is mandatory.
- Reporting any forms of cheating will require the reporter's PSN ID
- Complaints of cheating would have to be documented. The complainant will have to file ans submit a "Suspected Cheating Form" to the developer.
Naughty Dog has decided to investigate these cheating reports because of complaints from players that some of their opponents are not "playing nice". The developer has conceded that some cheaters are taking advantage of some glitches in the game.
The Uncharted 4 developer announced that it is doing its best to plug the glitches in the game that could be exploited by some enterprising players. But they could only fix the ones they know which is why Naughty Dog is asking cooperation from its players.
