The 4th season of BBC One's hit TV series, 'Sherlock' had just finished filming and the excitement of the fans are already off the roof.
Mirror UK reported that Matt Gatiss (Mycroft Holmes) mentioned "We've just finished filming the fourth series, we finished about four nights ago," on the BBC Breakfast show.
"It'll be on, probably at the beginning of next year when it usually is. We're very excited about it. I think it's the best one we've done, it's very big chewy stuff, meaty. Lots of big life changing things happen in it and all kinds of non-specific things like that I can say about it." He further said.
Now, fans are more curious than ever. What are those life changing things that will happen?
One major 'Sherlock' season 4 spoiler is that Mary Watson will die at the end of the season with her death being due to her bearing the child of John Watson. And an earlier tweet from Amanda Abbington (Mary Watson) saying, "And that's a Golden Wrap on Mary," leaves more room for fans to speculate.
It has been known that Mary from the 'Sherlock' TV series had already outlived her literary counterpart in the original Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. But even Martin Freeman (John Watson) who is the on and off screen husband of Abbington assumes that the character Mary will be killed off at some point.
He was quoted saying in an interview with The Telegraph, "While we play fast and loose with the original stories, we generally follow the trajectory of what Conan Doyle did, So [John] gets married, and then Mary dies - so at some point presumably she'll die."
BBC always keep 'Sherlock' fans guessing on what they recreate on screen. So for now, fans can make assumptions and read 'Sherlock' Season 4 spoilers but they will have to wait until early 2017 before confirming the death of Mary Watson in the upcoming season.
