TLC network is now in the middle of a controversy has advertisement companies pulled out their ads after they realized that their ads were aired during the premiere of the second season of "Jill and Jessa: Counting On," amidst Josh Duggar's child molestation scandal.
Advertisers Pull Out Ads With TLC Network After Being Aired During "Jill And Jessa: Counting On" Commercial Breaks
During the previous season of the reality show of Jill and Jessa Duggar, "Jill and Jessa: Counting On," there were already advertisers who backed out of their paid advertisements after they found out that these ads were aired during commercial of the series. Just recently, In Touch Weekly reported that four more of these advertisers have pulled out their advertisements as well.
These four companies namely Gerber Life, Trivago, Thumbtack.com, and Hotwire were not knowledgeable of the information that their products were advertised while the reality series is on commercial break. Upon knowing such information, they immediately pulled out their ads.
Josh Duggar Child Molestation Controversy
Josh Duggar is currently in a controversial scandal, being accused of being a child molester. It can be recalled that Josh Duggar has molested four of his sisters, and a babysitter that has led to the cancellation of his family's reality show, "19 Kids and Counting" as reported by Daily Mail. However, despite the cancellation, their family is still currently being feature don the current spin-off series, "Jill and Jessa: Counting On."
Josh Duggar To Make Appearance On "Jill And Jessa: Counting On"
Josh Duggar will allegedly appear on the series and will address all the controversies being thrown against him. Reports say that his appearance will make the ratings of the show and the network golden, as he explains how he was led to the right path after these incidents. However, the advertisers are firm on their decision to pull out their ads from the network. Thus, TLC will have to air promos of other shows instead of paid advertisements.
