With Justin Hartley temporarily leaving "The Young And The Restless," rumors are Michael Muhney might be returning and a recast for Hartley's character, Adam Newman, is in the works.
Hartley is set to star on the new season of NBC's drama, "This Is Us" which will premiere this month. The actor earlier said he will do his best in both dramas but with the strong popularity of "This Is Us," it looks like he would have to focus on it, Parent Herald reported.
Fans are speculating Muhney would replace Hartley as Adam but pointed out that casting calls for Adam in "The Young And The Restless" are being made in disguise. The casting is for a character called Dean, but all the descriptions coincidentally matches Adam's characteristics--a mid-30s Caucasian man from a rich family, who is trying to go against greed.
In the recent scenes it seems like the production is also already getting ready to remove Adam from the picture. Adam Newman has recently escaped from the prison and is on the run with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor.
Thursday's episode of "The Young And The Restless" showed Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Chelsea arriving just in time to see the cabin, where Adam supposedly is, bursting into flames. But there are possibilities that he didn't die there, it's either Victor is one step ahead of Chloe and managed to save him somehow or Chloe changed her mind about killing him.
Spoilers, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry, say Chloe will use a secret tunnel to Chelsea's bedroom while her face shows a strange look. Shock? Guilt? Regret? Nevertheless, there will be a thorough investigation on the incident and Chloe should be careful as the evidences may point to her. But still, the greatest question is what Adams fate will be.
On the other hand, Nichelle Nichols (Star Trek) is having a guest appearance on a special episode to celebrate the show's 11,000th episode, the series also celebrated its 43rd anniversary last March 26 according to WTVR.
